I wonder if there's any way we can incorporate a disco ball - not for the 70's feel, but more for the sparkle. I can't say I'm a fan of 'traditional' disco lights.
I've been having another look at rings as J has said that actually he is not too keen on wearing a ring full time but would like one on the day. So I suggested tungsten after happening to have seen this post on Budget Savvy Bride . It does seem to be remarkably cheap, we can get one for under £50, and that's not a plain one! In the mean time I've been playing around with some 'make your own ring' type tools on various jewellery websites including furrer-jacot which says they have 20000 options! and PureJewels design your own Here are some pretty ones from furrer-jacot In fact, I'm not too bothered about having a diamond wedding ring, as I have my engagement ring. I'll be quite happy with a plain band. But still there are so many choices: metal, width, weight, finish, shape...
I love rainbows, I always have, although despite this, it is probably something I won't try and squeeze into the wedding. Unless maybe I can do it in style like these two. Obviously this is not something you can plan for, but if you have a clever photographer, maybe you can do something like this. Maybe I can just have some of these roses from Happy Roses (although they are quite expensive) via A cup of Jo and Elizabeth Anne Designs Images from Jared Bauman and Michele M Waite , Value flora ,
This is just meant to be a quick catch up of what's been going on this last couple of weeks, just so you know I haven't been sitting back doing nothing (just next to nothing) so it covers a bit of everything. I've been getting in touch with a few photographers - I can tell this is going to be one of the major sticking points of the planning. We don't have a huge budget for the photos as we are not huge photo people. The disappointment of not having the one photographer we really wanted also makes it a bit harder. The other difficulty is the approved list, where we have to start our search (or pay commission to the venue). I've got the contact details for the dress designer friend-of-a-friend, so I can get that going. Which is just as well because my mum decided to come out and tell me that she didn't really like THE DRESS! (don't get me started on that one!) Shopping with my sister today I managed to convince her of the coloured shoes thing. J and mum don
